Today, Murray Equipment and ICS announced the launch of the highly anticipated ICS 480, the next evolution of the industry-proven ICS 360 control platform.
Designed for larger, more complex facilities, the ICS 480 delivers expanded capacity, enhanced connectivity, and greater flexibility to meet the growing demands of modern liquid handling operations. The system supports more than 100 products, up to 30 high-speed meters, 32 standard meters, 32 Ethernet meters, 2 serial scales, 8 analog connections, 384 Ethernet valves, 48 standard outputs, and 16 high-current outputs.
The ICS 480 can manage up to six systems simultaneously, with up to six loadout points per system. Additional capabilities include support for up to three premix skids, unattended loadout operations, and a variety of facility configurations. Operators can access the system through touchscreen controls, desktop computers, remote HMIs, tablets, and other smart devices.
"The ICS 480 represents the natural progression of our technology platform and our continued commitment to innovation," said Todd Scobie, MEI/ICS Sales and Marketing Manager. "As new technologies emerge, the ICS 480 is built to integrate with the latest advancements, helping customers maximize efficiency, connectivity, and operational performance."
While the ICS 480 becomes the preferred platform for new large-scale installations, ICS remains fully committed to supporting existing ICS 360 customers. The ICS 360 continues to be a powerful, reliable, and feature-rich control system, and there are no plans to discontinue support.
The introduction of the ICS 480 marks an important milestone in the evolution of the ICS product family, providing customers with a clear path forward while protecting their investment in existing systems.
FORT WAYNE, IN — Murray Equipment and ICS are pleased to announce that ICS ControlPro® is now NTEP-certified for weigh-out operations using NTEP-certified meters and scales. With this certification, ICS ControlPro becomes the fertilizer industry's only software solution with NTEP certification for this application.
This milestone expands the capabilities of ICS ControlPro, enabling fertilizer retailers, manufacturers, and distributors to leverage a single certified weighing process for blending and loadout operations while maintaining compliance requirements.
Traditionally, many fertilizer facilities rely on multiple measurement or verification steps during production and loadout. With NTEP-certified weigh-out functionality, ICS ControlPro can:
By simplifying the process, facilities can reduce equipment requirements, streamline facility layouts, and minimize opportunities for cross-contamination between products.
For operations seeking to improve efficiency and reduce complexity, the certification provides an additional pathway to optimize blending and loadout workflows while maintaining measurement accuracy and traceability.

The certification further strengthens ICS ControlPro's position as a comprehensive automation platform for liquid fertilizer operations. By integrating certified weighing capabilities directly into the control software, facilities can consolidate processes and improve operational efficiency without sacrificing accuracy.
"This certification reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering innovative automation solutions that help fertilizer operations operate more efficiently, accurately, and profitably," said Dan Murray, Murray Equipment/ICS President.
